As I’m sure you’ve seen, there are many decks here in the Boston, Massachusetts area, which are dangerously leaning to one side.  It is puzzling to imagine how some of them are still standing.  As it is common practice for folks here in eastern MA to BBQ on the porch in the spring and summer months, it is important to use fire resistant materials.  Make sure the contractors you choose to build your deck employ techniques which create the most stability possible.  Sometimes it is tempting to skimp when building a deck because it seems like such a simple construction, this is not a good idea and could result in danger.
